Scentleys Cherry is an Extrait de Parfum. Cherry opens with Almond and Black Cherry, settles into a heart of Rose and Jasmine, and dries down to a base of Sandalwood, Vetiver, and Tonka Bean. Scentleys's Cherry carries an Acquired verdict, a fruity-led wear.

Cherry delivers the boozy black cherry and bitter almond opening that made Tom Ford's Lost Cherry a cult favourite, with a strong initial match that softens into a simpler tonka-sandalwood base than the original's richer Private Blend construction.

About

Cherry is Scentleys' extrait version of Tom Ford's Lost Cherry, the 2018 Private Blend release that turned an almost gourmand black cherry note into one of the most talked-about fragrances of its era. The dupe leans hard into that opening: a juicy, slightly boozy black cherry paired with bitter almond, chasing the marzipan-adjacent sweetness that made the original instantly recognisable and widely copied. A Turkish rose and jasmine sambac heart follows, softening the fruit with a floral lift, before the base settles on tonka bean, sandalwood and vetiver. The cherry-almond opening is Cherry's strongest asset and genuinely close to the original for the first hour or two, sweet, dark and a little intoxicating in the way Lost Cherry fans expect. As the wear develops the gap widens - Tom Ford's version carries a rich, syrupy depth through its rose and Peru balsam base that gives real complexity and longevity, while Scentleys' tonka-sandalwood dry-down is noticeably lighter and simpler, fading into a pleasant but generic sweet-woody finish. Performance is good for an oil extrait, five to seven hours with strong initial projection. A fun, affordable way to enjoy the cherry-almond opening that made the original famous, with the base losing some of the Private Blend richness.
