No. 111 Intense doubles down on the sparkling neroli, bergamot, and lemon opening of the standard No. 111, building on the same Riviera-chic citrus concept borrowed from Tom Ford's Neroli Portofino. Orange blossom still supplies the heart's clean floral glow, but here it's supported by a noticeably richer amber base designed to deliver the extreme longevity and projection the Intense name promises. Like the original Neroli Portofino, this version stays fairly linear throughout the wear, with the citrus subsiding gradually rather than a dramatic change in character - it just does so from a stronger, warmer starting point. Compared to the standard-strength No. 111, this Intense edition holds on considerably longer, closing some of the longevity gap that the base version has against the real Tom Ford (which itself gets mixed reviews on staying power). The added amber weight does mean it feels slightly less airy and effortless than the original's famous freshness, but for anyone wanting the Neroli Portofino citrus-amber mood with genuinely all-day performance, this is the stronger pick of the two dupes.
