The Parfum Hub Alanya 51 is an Eau de Parfum. Alanya 51 opens with Bergamot, Mandarin, and Peach, settles into a heart of Orange Blossom, Vetiver, and Lily Of The Valley, and dries down to a base of Akigalawood, Ambrofix, and Musk. The Parfum Hub's Alanya 51 carries a Statement verdict, a floral-led wear.

Alanya 51 captures Valaya's bergamot-peach-orange blossom skeleton well, but Parfums de Marly's aldehydic sparkle and vanilla-warmed musk base that give the real Valaya its polished finish are the two things missing here.

About

Alanya 51 borrows heavily from Parfums de Marly's Valaya, matching most of the pyramid: bergamot, mandarin and white peach up top, orange flower, nympheal and vetiver through the heart, akigalawood, ambrofix and musk in the base. The fruity-floral opening is a fair likeness, and the general shape of the fragrance tracks the original closely enough to be recognisable. What's missing is the aldehydic lift Quentin Bisch built into the top of Valaya, which gives the real thing a sparkling, almost champagne-like quality in the first minutes, and the vanilla warmth in the base that keeps Valaya from feeling too clean. Without those, Alanya 51 comes across as a more straightforward fruity-floral musk - pleasant, wearable, but missing the polish that makes Valaya stand out.
