The Parfum Hub Damascus 48 is an Eau de Parfum. Damascus 48 opens with Bergamot and Saffron, settles into a heart of Oud and Rose, and dries down to a base of Sugar Cane, Musk, Amber, and Oakmoss. The Parfum Hub's Damascus 48 carries a Statement verdict, a musk-led wear.

Damascus 48 captures the burnt-sugar-and-saffron warmth of Montale Arabians Tonka reasonably well, but arrives nowhere near the original's famously nuclear projection.

Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

We derive these from the materials behind this fragrance's notes, not from the bottle. Each one is likely, not confirmed. The list is partial - the box can name others.

  • Bergamot Citrus Aurantium Bergamia Peel Oil from Bergamot

About

Damascus 48 is The Parfum Hub's dupe of Montale Arabians Tonka (2019), an ambery-woody-gourmand release known in the fragrance community for its enormous projection and comfort-food warmth. The pyramid follows the same route: bergamot and saffron open with a bright, spiced lift, oud and Bulgarian rose build a warm, slightly floral heart, and tonka bean, sugar cane, amber, white musk and oakmoss close on a dense, sweet, cozy base. The saffron-tonka-sugar combination is the heart of what makes Arabians Tonka so addictive and this dupe gets the general shape right - warm, sweet, comforting rather than sharp or bitter. What it can't replicate is the sheer force the original is known for; reviewers describe three or four sprays of genuine Arabians Tonka filling an entire room for hours, while this version stays comparatively close to skin and fades well before the multi-hour marathon the original delivers. A cozy, wearable gourmand-oriental for anyone who wants the warmth without needing to clear the room.
