The Parfum Hub Oslo 91 is a Parfum. Oslo 91 opens with Grapefruit, Ginger, Apple, and Aldehydes, settles into a heart of Lavender, Geranium, and Sage, and dries down to a base of Cedar, Patchouli, Tonka Bean, and Frankincense. The Parfum Hub's Oslo 91 carries an Acquired verdict, a aromatic-led wear.

Oslo 91 replicates Y Le Parfum's apple-ginger-lavender fougere structure closely, and the sharp opening comes through well, but the original's tonka-olibanum base gives it a resinous depth this version trades for a simpler woody-amber finish.

About

Oslo 91 follows Yves Saint Laurent's Y Le Parfum note for note - apple, aldehydes, grapefruit and ginger up top, lavender, sage and geranium through the heart, tonka bean, cedar, olibanum and patchouli in the base. The opening is sharp and true to the original, with that slightly metallic aldehyde-ginger combination that makes Y Le Parfum stand out from softer fougeres. The gap shows up in the base: Dominique Ropion's olibanum and patchouli combination gives the real Y Le Parfum a resinous, almost incense-adjacent depth that carries the fragrance for hours, and Oslo 91's version settles into a flatter, more standard woody-amber finish much sooner. A solid entry point into the Y Le Parfum style, but the longevity and complexity gap is real.
