Al Haramain Perfumes
Oud-focused Middle Eastern perfume house offering traditional attars and modern sprays at broadly accessible prices.
Al Haramain Perfumes was founded in 1970 by Kazi Abdul Haque, who began with a perfume trading business inspired by the aroma of oud in Makkah. The company started with a few stores in Makkah and Madinah in Saudi Arabia before expanding across the Gulf region and beyond. Over time, Al Haramain relocated its base of operations to the United Arab Emirates and developed into a vertically integrated perfume manufacturer and exporter.
From its early years, Al Haramain focused on oriental, agarwood based creations, offering attars, concentrated oils, incense, and spray perfumes. The brand emphasizes traditional Middle Eastern materials such as oud, amber, musk, sandalwood, and Taif rose, and highlights that it has crafted a portfolio of over 1000 fragrances. According to the company, its products are now sold through a network of showrooms across the GCC, wider Middle East, Asia, Europe, and in markets like the UK and USA, with distribution in more than 100 countries.
In recent years, Al Haramain has broadened its range from classic oud oils and alcohol free attars to more contemporary eau de parfum lines aimed at international consumers. While the brand continues to be strongly associated with dense, resinous oud compositions, it also produces fresher and more Western leaning blends to appeal to a wider audience. This combination of traditional Arabian perfumery and modern product formats has helped it become one of the more visible Middle Eastern perfume names in global retail and travel retail channels.
A arabian, mid house known for oud compositions.
Al Haramain began with a focus on traditional oriental and agarwood oils aimed primarily at regional Middle Eastern customers. Over time it expanded into spray perfumes and diversified its catalog with more Western leaning compositions, including fresher, fruitier, and gourmand styles. In the last decade, the brand has leaned into global distribution, travel retail, and flanker lines that reinterpret oud and amber in more accessible formats, while still maintaining a core lineup of classic attars and concentrated oils for traditional users.
Al Haramain is a go to choice if you want strong, oud centered Middle Eastern fragrances without niche price tags. Expect power and richness more than subtlety, plus a huge catalog where careful selection pays off.
