A London extrait house with a photography theme, from the makers of Memoize London

About Pictor Parfum

Pictor Parfum is a London extrait house with a photography theme, part of Memoize London. Its eight perfumes are named after parts of making a picture: Airbrush, Aperture, Dark Room, Flash, Perspective, Shadow, Silhouette and Time Lapse. Memoize Parfum Ltd, a London company registered in April 2018 with Holly Hutchinson as director, is behind it.

The house says it develops scents meant to leave a lasting impression, with a range curated from a selection of high-quality perfumers. Two of the perfumers credited on the range are Tristan Badard and Elodie Durande, and the first perfumes date from 2023. Caps are made by hand and production is completed in the United Kingdom. The parent house says its caps are finished by artisan makers in Yorkshire from oak and walnut offcuts and that nothing it makes is tested on animals.

The range moves from bright and fruity to dark and smoky. Airbrush is a glossy cranberry, lychee and rose with a waxy lipstick note over vanilla and amber. Flash opens on raspberry, pink pepper and ginger. Dark Room is leather and violet over amber, Shadow is tobacco, leather and suede on amber and cedar, Perspective is incense, myrrh and juniper, and Time Lapse is green leaves, violet and orris.

Pictor sits in the accessible, design-led end of niche perfumery: extrait strength and a clear concept. It suits wearers who like modern fruity, leather and incense perfumes in a gift-friendly package.
