About Shiraz Parfums

Shiraz Parfums is a small, owner-led perfume house based in the United Kingdom. Its perfumer is Aitzaz Mirza, and the house is built around what it calls the Biography Collection: timeless fragrances that each mark one aspect of the founder's father's life. The brand says its aim is simple, to produce high quality perfumes that highlight that journey, and it names Taaj after a family matriarch it calls a beacon of the family. The first perfumes, Lahore and Taaj, appeared in 2021.

The catalogue is dark, opulent and traditional in feel, with a clear taste for oud, resins and spice. Lahore combines saffron, oud and Assam tea with benzoin, labdanum, vetiver, castoreum and white musk. Taaj wraps a jammy rose in oud, with iris and a powdery opening. The 2023 releases lean towards men's perfumery: Triumph pairs mandarin and lavender with tonka, clove, cinnamon, sandalwood and cedar, and The Opening moves from berries and coriander into honey, cinnamon, incense, myrrh and oakmoss. 1952 and Kingston add oakmoss and amber and a lavender and tonka fougere, and the 2025 S Prive Edition is an extrait of tobacco, chocolate, rose, cognac and rum.

The house presents itself as luxury for people who want to stand apart from the crowd, and puts its effort into the bottles as well as the fragrances. Owner-run and sold mainly through its own website, it has limited public review coverage so far, though the ratings that exist are warm.

Shiraz Parfums sits at the luxury end of independent perfumery. It suits wearers who like rich, long-lasting, oud-led fragrances with a personal story behind them, and who are happy to buy from a small house.
