Hayati is a beautifully balanced, subtle musk-rose powerhouse with surprisingly polarising performance. Seriously, people are either anosmic to it or find it eternal. Don't go overboard, especially with the oil, or you'll overwhelm everyone.

The God Father follows Nasomatto Baraonda's boozy whisky-and-rose signature closely, with ambrette and ambroxan doing the lifting in the heart. It reproduces the opening well but loses some of the original's honeyed, malty depth as it dries down.
