Which Should You Buy?

Our Verdict - Ambré EDT
Baldessarini Ambré is a beautiful, budget-friendly amber-leather scent with a loyal following, but its notorious weak performance means it's often a heartbreak in a bottle. If you're willing to overspray, you're in for a treat.
Favourite
Our Verdict - Passion Oud EDP
Perfume Parlour's budget take on Maison Crivelli Oud Maracuja - a vivid passionfruit-and-saffron opening crashing into smoky oud, patchouli and a leather-amber-vanilla base. PP captures the tropical-meets-dark contrast that made the original a hit, but reads a touch rougher and flatter, with the niche's photorealistic juicy sparkle softened. A lot of that addictive fruity-oud signature for very little money.

Ambré

Seasons

Best For:
Autumn Winter
Also Works:
Spring

A cold-weather scent - best worn in autumn and winter.

Occasions

Best For:
Date Formal
Also Works:
Casual

Its moderate projection and warm, inviting accords make it ideal for close-quarter situations like dates and quieter office environments. Several reviews highlight its suitability for formal settings and cooler weather, but its limited sillage means it won't overwhelm an office, yet it's too rich for sport.
