Passion Oud

Perfume Parlour Passion Oud is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2023. Passion Oud opens with Passionfruit, Fruity, Rose, and Saffron, settles into a heart of Oud, Patchouli, and Benzoin, and dries down to a base of Leather, Akigalawood, Amber, and Labdanum. Perfume Parlour's Passion Oud carries an Acquired verdict, a fruity-led wear.

Perfume Parlour's budget take on Maison Crivelli Oud Maracuja - a vivid passionfruit-and-saffron opening crashing into smoky oud, patchouli and a leather-amber-vanilla base. PP captures the tropical-meets-dark contrast that made the original a hit, but reads a touch rougher and flatter, with the niche's photorealistic juicy sparkle softened. A lot of that addictive fruity-oud signature for very little money.

About

Passion Oud is Perfume Parlour's affordable interpretation of Maison Crivelli Oud Maracuja, the 2023 niche fruity-oud. It opens loud and juicy - a tart, tropical burst of passionfruit threaded with fruity sweetness, saffron and Turkish rose. As it develops the brightness gives way to depth: smoky oud, Indonesian patchouli and benzoin pull the fruit into darker, woodier territory, before a base of leather, akigalawood, amber, labdanum and vanilla rounds it into a warm, slightly animalic drydown. The original is prized for its smooth, almost photorealistic passionfruit and strong 10-hour-plus performance; as a budget dupe this version renders a little rougher and more synthetic in the fruit, with the contrast between sweet and smoky less seamless and projection more moderate. Still, it keeps the addictive tropical-oud character intact - a bold, sensual choice for autumn and winter evenings, and an easy way to wear the Oud Maracuja idea without the niche price.
