Adrenalin is a conceptual note. No supplier sells a material by this name, and one reviewer of a fragrance that lists it says plainly "I have no idea how that hormone smells". Parfumo records it in 3 fragrances between 2006 and 2024, mostly in the heart. The two we could read use it for opposite effects, so this vector is deliberately unconfident and its spreads are the widest in the batch.

Scent Profile

Green leads on the narrowest possible ground, and it is the only value here with direct support. It is the single review, of Gambling, that names the Adrenalin note itself and says what it smells of: "sharp green aromatics" that wake the reader up. Every other odour report in the evidence describes a whole composition rather than this note. Mineral is the metallic-blood reading that runs through every review of Secretions Magnifiques. It is scored high because the reports are consistent and vivid, and capped below green because that fragrance also lists Blood, which is a published note carrying mineral, and the metallic character is at least as likely to be coming from there. Aromatic_herbal is the aromatic half of the one direct description. Animalic is the Secretions reviewers calling the scent synthetic-animal, discounted the same way as mineral for the same reason. Sour, aquatic_ozonic, fresh_spice, sulphurous, lactonic and clean_musk are all held low on purpose. Each traces to a term in a Secretions review, the rotten-egg sulphur, the spoiled-milk lactone, the salty-sharp opening, that is more plausibly the Blood, Milk or iodine in that formula than the Adrenalin.

Origin

There is no extraction or synthesis route for an Adrenalin perfumery material. No CAS number, no supplier listing and no accord sheet was found. The note name signals the idea of the hormone. What raw materials stand in for it is not published for any of the three fragrances that list it.

Usage in Perfumery

Listed in the heart. In Etat Libre d'Orange Secretions Magnifiques it sits with Blood and Milk. In The House of Oud Gambling it sits with Coffee, peaty whisky, Sichuan pepper and Bergamot. In Tonino Lamborghini Audacia it sits with Geranium and Lavender. The one thing all three share is that the note is used to signal tension or arousal, which is a mood claim and not an odour claim.
