About

Dry cedar wood with a rich amber undertone

Scent Profile

Amberever smells of dry cedar wood first, clean and woody. A rich, warm amber sits under the wood and gives it depth. It is powerful and diffusive, and it lasts a long time on skin.

Origin

Amberever is a captive aroma molecule made by dsm-firmenich and launched in 2025. The maker calls it a cedarwood fragrance ingredient, so it is a synthetic and not a distilled cedar oil. A purer form, Amberever Neo, is made by crystallisation to isolate the isomer that carries the odour and strength.

Usage in Perfumery

Perfumers use it in the base for woody and ambery structure, power and long wear. Retail copy calls it incredibly powerful and diffusive, so it works at a low dose. In Cerruti VIVO Elixir it sits in the base with cistus, Virginia cedarwood and oud.
