Cooked apple purée. Soft, creamy and lightly spiced, without the pastry or butter of a baked pudding.
Scent Profile
Fruity leads. It is cooked apple flesh, and the vendor's pyramid puts apple, pear and peach together in the top, so the fruit is broad rather than sharp. Lactonic and it is the claim that earns this note a row. The maker's own contrast with its separate Cinnamon Apple product is that this one 'has creamy undertones that leave it a little more subtle', and a customer repeats it as 'a smooth and creamy apple'. Sweet_vanillic for the stated base of vanilla and caramelised sugar. Warm_spice for cinnamon and clove in the middle, held below apple-pie's 0.45 and baked-apple's 0.38 because the maker's whole selling point is that this version is the more subtle one. Sour for the residual tartness of the fruit. Green because the apple is cooked, so the raw-peel green of the plain apple note is gone.
