Scent Profile
Earthy leads and the source says so in every sentence: soil-embedded, rooty, like digging up a cedar stump. Dry_woody sits just under it and must stay high, because the note is still cedar. The source says the pencil-shaving character is muted and buried, not removed, so scoring it low would assert an absence nobody claimed. Mossy_chypre is the faintly musty quality, named twice. Below the naming bar: amber_resinous and creamy_woody for the cedrol and cedrene the source names in the build, mineral for wet soil, powdery for dry root dust, cooling_mentholic as a trace of the cedar register held far under the published cedar note's 0.15.

Origin
The trade source states outright that no cedar root extraction exists. It gives the build as cedarwood derivatives, naming cedrol and cedrene, plus earthy materials, naming vetiver and geosmin, plus dry-root notes. So the cedar identity in this note is chemical and deliberate, not incidental.
Usage in Perfumery
Fragrantica attests the term once and files it under greens, herbs and fougeres. Parfumo does not carry it. It is used as a grounding anchor under conventional cedar, in earthy-woody and root-themed compositions.
