Origin
The referent is the frozen confection, a vanilla ice cream bar coated in orange water ice. There is no natural material. Perfumery builds it as an accord: sweet orange or mandarin oil on top, vanillin and a marshmallow-type sweetener in the middle, and lactones for the dairy.
Usage in Perfumery
It is used whole, as a nostalgia accord in gourmand and summer fragrances. It also appears in candles and body products, where the orange gives lift and the vanilla dairy gives the stay. It blends with other dessert notes, sugar and light musks.
