Green leads and is the first word the source uses, but it is a softer green than fig leaf carries - cis-3-hexenol freshness rather than the sharp herbaceous snap, which is why this sits against fig-leaf's. Lactonic is named twice, once in the headline as 'lactonic' and once as 'a creamy, milky quality from lactones', and it is what separates this from a plain leaf note. Floral is the weakest of the four and is inferred, not smelled: the source describes a 'lighter, more floral framing' as part of the build and never puts a floral term in its odour headline. Tropical is the coconut the source reaches for and then withdraws - 'a warm, slightly tropical sweetness that recalls coconut without being coconut'. Below those sit a small sweet_vanillic warmth and a thin fruity edge borrowed from the ripe fig the term is measured against. No wood, no spice, no resin: the source excludes the bark and the fruit alike.

Origin

There is no fig blossom. Ficus carica carries its flowers inside the fruit, in an inverted cluster called a syconium, so no external flower exists to pick or extract. Premiere Peau states this plainly and states that no extraction exists for the term. What perfumers sell under the name is a built accord. The one account found describes the build as fig-leaf materials - stemone and other leaf-green compounds, cis-3-hexenol - given a lighter floral framing and a lactone load for creaminess. The term is used as a point between the two real fig notes, greener and milkier than the ripe fruit, rounder and softer than the leaf.

Usage in Perfumery

Used in fig-themed and Mediterranean compositions as a lighter alternative to ripe fig. Attested 3 times on Fragrantica and 6 times on Parfumo across 6 brands, so the name is in real use even though the material is not. Premiere Peau lists two of its own extraits, Nuit Elastique and Rose Monotone, as using it.
