About
Frostwood is a Symrise captive pitched as cold evergreen forest. Piney wood is the body, cold air is what makes it unusual, and a damp forest-floor undertone sits underneath. It is a cold green wood, not a warm creamy one.
Scent Profile
Dry_woody leads, the piney body both sources agree on. Le Parfum Magazine: "Fresh and green, with a crisp pine-like character". Basenotes reports Symrise's own words as "cool-air, piney with forest floor elements". Cooling_mentholic is the cold, and it is the point of the material. Le Parfum Magazine contrasts it directly with "traditional warm woods" and calls it "the feeling of forest air rather than traditional warm woods". Green is stated twice. Earthy is the forest floor: one Basenotes poster reads it as "cool evergreen breeze and wet soil". Amber_resinous is the resin that a pine-like character implies, held below the published Conifer note's 0.55 because no source names resin directly. Aquatic_ozonic carries "clean, airy, and invigorating", which is air rather than water. The vector is deliberately not given the sweet or creamy woody facets that most captive woods carry, because the sources say the opposite.

Origin
An undisclosed captive from Symrise, launched in the Iconoclast series. The structure is not published and no datasheet, patent or technical bulletin was found. Symrise's own launch announcement gives no odour description, so every descriptor here is trade and community reporting of the marketing language.
Usage in Perfumery
Sold as a woody material for fresh, green and fougere directions. No published fragrance was found listing it, so its behaviour in a finished composition is untested here.
