About
Australian white cypress pine. Sharp, green and resin-laced, with a dry herbal edge and a cool eucalyptus-and-mint lift.
Scent Profile
Dry woody is the base of it, the crisp evergreen and pine that both sources name. Green is nearly equal and is the leaf oil's lead descriptor: sharp cut foliage, not soft or leafy. Aromatic-herbal carries two separate things the sources report, the dry herbal edge of the leaf and the eucalyptus of the wood, and it is the facet doing the most work for the least evidence. Amber-resinous is the resin the leaf oil is laced with, well under the woody and green. Cooling-mentholic is the mint the wood oil is sold on, and it is what separates this from a plain conifer.

Origin
Botanical. Callitris columellaris, a conifer of eastern and northern Australia, in the Cupressaceae but not a true cypress. Sellers treat it as two different products: a leaf oil and a wood oil. Stillpoint Aromatics describes the leaf oil as sharp, green and resin-laced. Down Under Enterprises gives the wood oil three words: fresh eucalyptus, pine and mint.
