Juniper Leaf oil is steam-distilled from the foliage and twigs of Juniperus communis, with no berries in the still. Eden Botanicals sells it as juniper leaf/branch. The Good Scents Company treats juniper leaf oil and juniper needle oil as one material. It warns that many oils sold as juniper branch or wood oil are berry oil cut with turpentine or pinene.

Usage in Perfumery

Eden Botanicals classes it as a top to middle note in the woody family. Shiva Exports lists it as blending with sandalwood, rosemary, chamomile, bergamot, sage, geranium and eucalyptus. That is a herbal and woody company rather than a citrus one.
