Sandalwood flower is a faint creamy floral built to give sandalwood a lighter, more transparent top. The one trade source that describes it calls it sandalwood heartwood diluted tenfold with a floral lift, and says twice that it is barely perceptible. It is a fantasy accord, not an extract.

Sandalwood flower is a creamy, sandalwood heartwood smell thinned right down, barely perceptible, with a floral lift over it. That floral top is softer and less narcotic than jasmine. It reads light, sweet-floral and honeyed, with a gentle creaminess rather than any real sugar. A faint milky texture separates the woody body from the floral top.

Origin
The flowers of Santalum album, the Indian sandalwood tree. They are small and very faintly scented, and no commercial extraction of them exists. Premiere Peau frames the note explicitly as a composed accord whose job is to carry sandalwood's creamy character in a lighter, floral register. No source says which sandalwood the accord is diluted from. Real Indian S. album is now rare in trade, so the underlying heartwood reference may in practice be Australian S. spicatum, but nothing confirms that.

Fragrantica records 4 perfumes and Parfumo none. Fragrantica files it under Flowers with the one line 'Flowers of Santalum album have a pleasant sandalwood smell.' Parfumo's only match is a perfume named Sandalwood Flowers by Abdul Samad Al Qurashi, with no published pyramid. Use it where a sandalwood impression is wanted without the weight, or to soften a white floral without adding green.
