Alkemia Perfumes Hellcat is a perfume oil launched in 2013, created by Sharra Lamoureaux. Alkemia Perfumes's Hellcat carries an Acquired verdict, a musk-led wear.

Hellcat is dark, resinous and smoky, built on oud, labdanum and tobacco. It leans heavy and a little dangerous, which suits anyone who wants a scent with teeth. If you like your fragrance quiet and polite, look elsewhere.

Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

About

Hellcat is listed as one group of notes rather than a pyramid, so it reads as a single dense, dark accord. Oud and labdanum give a resinous, woody weight, while tobacco and an opium note add smoke and sweetness. Spicy notes run through the middle and musk sits underneath, smoothing the edges and keeping the scent close to the skin. It is an oriental fragrance through and through: warm, heavy and moody, and better suited to cool evenings than to a hot afternoon.
