Libre Intenso is Aromara's Extrait reading of YSL Libre, chasing the lavender-versus-orange-blossom contrast that made the original stand out among modern florals. The top opens on lavender sharpened with mandarin and a dash of blackcurrant, close to the original's bright, slightly masculine-leaning citrus-herbal lift, if a touch more linear and less nuanced. Orange blossom and jasmine carry the heart, warm and honeyed, though the orange blossom here reads a little flatter than YSL's headline absolute, missing some of its waxy, sun-warmed depth. The base of vanilla, musk, tonka bean and ambergris is where the dupe earns its keep, syrupy and long-wearing thanks to the 35% extrait concentration, holding the sweet-floral signature through a full working day where the original at eau de parfum strength can fade by evening. It works equally well behind a desk or on a date, versatile in a way few budget interpretations manage.
