Comporta Perfumes Bravo is an Extrait de Parfum launched in 2021. Bravo opens with Lemon, Petitgrain, and Artemisia, settles into a heart of Cedar, Jasmine, Fig, and Copaiba Balm, and dries down to a base of Sea Water, Amyris, Musk, and Oakmoss. Comporta Perfumes's Bravo carries a Favourite verdict, an aromatic-led wear.

Miguel Matos turns a Comporta home fragrance into a wearable one: bitter artemisia and petitgrain over a fig and copaiba heart, closed with oakmoss, amyris and a salt-air finish. Dry, herbal and slightly bitter throughout.

When To Wear

Fall

Artemisia, petitgrain, fig and marine notes are built for heat, and the oakmoss and amyris base is too dry to give it much comfort in cold weather.

Best Occasions

Office Date Casual
Also Works:
Sport

Moderate projection and a relaxed herbal-coastal character make it a natural daytime and warm-weather choice rather than an evening or formal one.

About

Bravo opened the Master and Apprentice collection, the house's series pairing an established perfumer with an apprentice, and it began life as one of Comporta's home fragrances before being reworked for skin. That origin shows in how it is built. The top is unusually bitter for a summer scent, with artemisia leading, petitgrain adding a green woody sharpness and lemon supplying just enough brightness to keep it from turning medicinal. There is no sweetness at the front at all. The heart introduces fig, which in this context reads as the green milky kind rather than the jammy kind, with jasmine and cedar around it and copaiba balm underneath adding a soft peppery resin. Fig and copaiba together give the middle a warm, slightly waxy texture that contrasts with the herbal opening. The base is where the coastal idea arrives: oakmoss and amyris supply a dry earthy woodiness, marine notes give a light salt lift, and musk holds it together. The brand's description places it on a warm summer evening between rice fields and fig trees, which is a fair account of how it smells. Longevity is good and projection is moderate. Best in spring and summer, and easily casual enough for daytime wear, though the bitterness gives it more character than most fresh fragrances at this price.
