Comporta Perfumes

Comporta Perfumes is Portugal's first niche fragrance house, founded in 2017 by Pedro Simões Dias, a lawyer specialising in internet law and copyright who turned a perfume-collecting habit and a review blog into a brand of his own. Every scent is conceived as storytelling on skin, drawn from Comporta itself, the village on Portugal's Alentejo coast that gives the house its name. Rather than keeping a house nose, the brand commissions established independent perfumers, among them Luca Maffei, Beatrice Aguilar, Daniel Josier, Stephanie Bakouche, Bertrand Duchaufour, Chris Maurice and Miguel Matos. The range is organised into an Original Line, a Millesime Line and a Master and Apprentice Line, alongside home fragrances and candles. Bottles use a form developed with Portuguese porcelain house Vista Alegre, echoing the wooden stakes of Comporta's palafitic port.
