Coup de Coeur J'ai Rendez-Vous is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2023. J'ai Rendez-Vous opens with Peony, Freesia, and Litchi, settles into a heart of Rose, Magnolia, and Lily Of The Valley, and dries down to a base of Musk, Amber, and Cedar. Coup de Coeur's J'ai Rendez-Vous carries a Favourite verdict, a floral-led wear.

A clean pink floral with freesia and lychee up top and a white musk drydown. J'ai Rendez-Vous is the lightest thing the brand makes and the only one that works properly in warm weather.

When To Wear

Best Seasons

Best For:
Spring Summer
Also Works:
Fall

Freesia, peony and lychee over clean white musk make a transparent structure that thrives in warm weather. It is too light to register properly in winter air.

Best Occasions

Best For:
Office Date Casual

Light projection and a clean inoffensive floral profile make it the range's safest workplace and daytime option. It lacks presence for formal evening wear.

About

J'ai Rendez-Vous is the outlier in a range that otherwise leans sweet and heavy. Freesia, peony and lychee open it, a trio that has become the standard opening for transparent modern florals, and it does exactly what it should: bright, watery, faintly sweet, with the lychee adding a juiciness that keeps the flowers from reading as soapy. It is a pleasant and entirely familiar start. The heart holds the same register rather than deepening it. Rose, lily of the valley and magnolia form a clean bouquet with no indolic weight to it, magnolia adding a slight lemony lift and lily of the valley keeping the whole thing dewy. Nothing here is challenging, and that is clearly the intention. The base is cedar, white musk and amber, and the musk is the dominant element: soft, clean and laundry-adjacent, with cedar providing a thin dry structure and amber a faint warmth underneath. It finishes closer to a good body spray than to a perfume, which is the honest limitation. In the 100 mL format it manages four to five hours with light projection after the first hour. Spring and summer are where it belongs, and it is the one fragrance in the range you could wear to an office without a second thought. Undemanding, inoffensive and cheap, which for a daily floral is a reasonable set of qualities.
