No.006 Classique

No.006 is Eden's vegan, cruelty-free alternative to Jean Paul Gaultier's Classique, first launched in 1993 and instantly recognisable by its corset-shaped bottle. The original combines orange blossom, rose and bergamot with an iris, ginger and jasmine heart, before a vanilla, amber and musk base gives it its signature sensual warmth. This version follows the same rose-to-vanilla arc closely, layering rose across both the top and heart for extra richness, and finishing on amber, musk, vanilla and amberwood. It reads a touch sweeter and less powdery than Gaultier's original, with the iris playing a smaller supporting role than in the real thing, but the overall seductive, warm-floral character comes through clearly. Performance is solid for the format, with the vanilla-amber base carrying well into the evening. Best suited to autumn and winter, and to date nights or evening occasions where its sensual, classic-oriental profile can take centre stage.
