Eden's No.611 opens on sweet litchi, rhubarb, bergamot and a touch of nutmeg, immediately calling to mind the bright, fruity entrance of Parfums de Marly's Delina. From there, a generous rose takes over, joined by peony and musk to create the soft, feminine floral heart the original is best known for. Vanilla, incense and vetiver settle underneath, giving a light powdery warmth to the finish without ever weighing the fragrance down. This is one of the more universally loved rose fragrances of the last decade, and Eden's version captures its light, sparkling personality well - it wears easily from daytime into evening and suits anyone who wants a feminine floral that reads polished rather than overly sweet. Held up against the Parfums de Marly original, No.611 doesn't have quite the same silky longevity or the layered depth that comes from higher-concentration niche perfumery, fading to a soft skin scent sooner than the source fragrance. Still, the lychee-rose-peony backbone is faithful enough that it's an easy, budget-friendly way to enjoy the mood of Delina on a daily basis.
