Rose 31 No.644 is Eden's take on one of Le Labo's most talked-about scents, and it commits fully to the brief: a rose that reads more masculine woodsmoke than floral bouquet. The opening carries that characteristic cumin sharpness Le Labo's original is known for, which some noses find spicy and inviting and others find a little too skin-close - fair warning if you're sniffing it directly from the bottle rather than letting it settle on skin. Underneath, a rose and oud pairing gives it real depth without turning sweet, before cedar, musk and amber take over in the base for a dry, smoky finish reminiscent of a beach bonfire rather than a rose garden. It's a genuinely unusual fragrance in the best way, avoiding the soft, powdery rose cliché entirely in favour of something darker and more androgynous.
