Eden's No.287 is styled after YSL's Tuxedo, and the description leans on the same cast of characters - dark caramelised rose, suede-leather, dried plum and warm spice over an amber-patchouli base. It opens with a slight booziness reminiscent of a cocktail, moving into ginger and rose before settling on a smooth vanilla-patchouli drydown. Where the original YSL fragrance is prized for its precise, tailored elegance and a genuinely velvety leather-rose accord, this dupe softens the leather into something closer to generic suede and dials back the fruity cognac complexity that gives Tuxedo its depth. The black pepper undertone the original is known for comes through only faintly here, and the overall composition reads a touch sweeter and less structured. Longevity is moderate rather than the original's confident all-day performance.
