Eden Perfumes No.298 Virgin Island Water is a Parfum. No.298 Virgin Island Water opens with Bergamot, Mandarin, Lime, and Coconut, settles into a heart of Hibiscus, Jasmine, Ylang-Ylang, and Ginger, and dries down to a base of Sugar Cane, Musk, and Rum. Eden Perfumes's No.298 Virgin Island Water carries an Acquired verdict, a coconut-led wear.

A budget take on Creed's Virgin Island Water, keeping the same lime-coconut-rum tropical thread. The coconut and sugar cane read louder and sweeter here, the boozy rum note thinner, and the ylang-jasmine heart flattens out - so it loses some of the original's sun-warmed complexity but still nails the piña-colada beach mood at a fraction of the price.

About

Eden's No.298 leans on the same Caribbean-cocktail idea that made Creed's Virgin Island Water famous: zesty lime and creamy coconut up front, a rum-and-sugar-cane base underneath. Where the original blends ginger, ylang-ylang, jasmine and hibiscus into a genuinely layered floral-tropical accord, this version simplifies that heart considerably, letting the coconut and citrus carry most of the work. The rum and sugar-cane base is present but thinner and less boozy than Creed's version, and the whole composition sits flatter on skin with noticeably shorter longevity - a couple of hours rather than an all-day wear. That said, the core sunny, salt-air holiday character comes through clearly, and for a beach bag or gym-bag scent that doesn't need to last past the afternoon, it delivers the tropical fantasy without asking for Creed money. Best worn in warm weather, on skin rather than clothing, with a reapply expected if the day runs long.
