Imperial

Imperial opens with a bright, sparkling combination of bergamot, lemon and crisp green apple, immediately recognisable as a nod to Creed Aventus's iconic opening. Jasmine, lily of the valley and rose form the heart, adding a soft floral lift that Aventus itself only hints at, giving Imperial a slightly softer, more floral turn than the original's sharper fruit-smoke profile. The base of cedarwood, musk and amber is smooth and pleasant but noticeably lighter than Aventus's smoky birch and pineapple dry-down, the element most fans cite as the real original's signature. What Imperial delivers well is the fresh, confident, crowd-pleasing energy of the opening, even if the smoky depth that makes Aventus so widely chased is largely absent. As an easy, inoffensive fresh-fruity fragrance for the price, it holds up; as a faithful Aventus dupe, it captures the top notes more than the full picture.
