Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

When To Wear

Best Seasons

Best For:
Spring
Also Works:
Autumn Winter

Spring is the anchor, chosen by every season voter, with a bright fruit and white floral heart. Winter and autumn score next because of the warm vanilla and benzoin base, and summer scores lowest.

Best Occasions

Best For:
Date Formal
Also Works:
Office Casual

A sensual, glamorous fruity floral that suits a dinner, a night out or a wedding best. Daytime wear is voted most often, so it works for the office and casual days too, though it is too sweet and dressy for sport.

About

White Sable takes its name from one of the most exclusive furs, and the house calls it an olfactory jewel: refined, glamorous and shimmering, with luscious fruit, delicate flowers and an opulent base. It is the house's feminine fruity floral. It opens on raspberry and peach with a light pinch of pink pepper, an intensely fruity start that wearers compare to ripe plum. The heart is a white floral bouquet, with white flowers in front and rose and jasmine behind. Wearers say the white flowers wrap the fruit and give it delicacy. The base settles into musk, vanilla and benzoin with amber, cedar and patchouli, a warm, lightly powdery glow. One wearer says the raspberry stays through the entire wear without turning sugary. Reports on staying power are mostly moderate to long, from a few hours to twelve, and the sillage votes centre on moderate. Spring is the favoured season, with winter and autumn close behind, and day wear is voted more often than night, though one wearer calls it the most sensual perfume they have tried. The house lists the 50 ml at 220 pounds and the 100 ml at 325 pounds, and a good share of raters call that high. It suits anyone who wants a polished, fruit-led white floral for dinners, weddings or a confident day.
