Whispers of Almond is a gentle almond gourmand, reworked by the maker to bring out more almond. It opens with cherries and almond, with fresh green almond and green apple giving a slightly sharp, nutty lift. The seller describes an elegant and cosy opening that settles into a tender, intimate milky almond musk, and the shop copy likens the effect to real almond oil. The heart adds frangipani, pistachio and tuberose over white musk, and the base is vanilla, benzoin, light patchouli, sandalwood and blond woods. A buyer who tried it found bitter almond on the first spray, evolving into tuberose and other florals over a patchouli woodiness, with good lasting power. Another calls it a sweet, delicate smell, almost creamy. The scent is soft and close, so expect an intimate trail rather than a bold one. It is sold as a daytime perfume, and the seller also recommends it for evenings in pyjamas. Autumn and spring suit it best, and it fits a quiet office as well as casual wear.
