Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

About

Indigo Roots opens green and gently spiced. Mate gives a dry, leafy tea note, cardamom adds a cool crackle and bergamot keeps the first minutes bright. Within a quarter of an hour the scent softens into a heart of plum and osmanthus. The plum is juicy and a little jammy, the osmanthus adds a suede-like apricot glow and a touch of jasmine rounds the edges. The long dry-down is the best part. Honey and tobacco lead, with vanilla and sandalwood underneath, so the whole thing settles into a warm amber that sits close to the skin. At extrait strength, around 30 percent oil, it wears richly for many hours and leaves a quiet, golden trail rather than a loud one. Two or three sprays are plenty. It suits crisp evenings, dinners, the office in colder months and anyone who likes a fragrance that feels calm and expensive. It reads equally well on men and women. Bottom line: a smooth, honeyed tobacco amber with a fresh green start, made for cool weather.
