About

Nyxian opens with a dark, boozy twist. Orchid and rum sit side by side, with a prick of clove running through them. It smells like a floral that has stayed up past midnight. The heart is where the smoke arrives. Benzoin and styrax bring a resinous, slightly leathery warmth, and jasmine peeks through to keep the bloom alive. In the dry-down, vanilla and patchouli take over, with a thread of musk that keeps the sweetness soft against the skin. As a 30 percent extrait, it sits close and carries for many hours, so two or three sprays on pulse points and clothes are plenty. It is made for autumn and winter evenings, dinners and nights out, when resin and rum feel at home. It asks for a little confidence and rewards it. Bottom line: a dark amber floral for people who like their sweetness smoky and slow.
