Astray Fruit opens with the unmistakable Lost Cherry signature: a juicy, almost boozy sour-cherry liqueur laced with creamy bitter almond. The heart deepens with plum and a soft floral whisper of jasmine sambac and Turkish rose before the gourmand base of vanilla, tonka, Peru balsam and benzoin warms everything into a cosy, dessert-like drydown. Perfume Parlour's take captures the addictive cherry-and-almond accord that made the original a sensation, leaning sweet and approachable. Against the real Lost Cherry it reads simpler - the cherry is brighter and candied rather than dark and syrupy, the boozy facet softer, and projection more reserved where the original throws strongly early on.
