Avalanche X

Avalanche X opens with the familiar Aventus fruit cocktail - pineapple, blackcurrant, apple and bergamot - brightened by orange, pink pepper and a green lift, just as the 10th Anniversary edition does. The heart adds intriguing depth with melon, juniper berries, neroli and cyclamen-style floralcy alongside the signature birch, rose, jasmine and patchouli. The base is where the anniversary character shows: a muskier, leather-touched drydown of ambergris, ambroxan, cedar, oakmoss and vanilla with less of the smoke found in standard batches. As a dupe it tracks that richer, more refined profile in outline, though it wears flatter and more linear, the polished projection of the limited edition softened to a skin-near glow with moderate longevity. The result is a confident, slightly dressier fruity-woody-leather, well suited to cooler days, the office and smart evenings - an affordable nod to one of Aventus' most collectible flankers.
