About

Despite the name, Celestial Bloom is cool and crisp rather than flowery. Citron opens it, sharp and zesty, with a bitter peel edge. Juniper and Sichuan pepper form the heart: the juniper crisp and piney, the pepper adding a tingling warmth that stops the scent feeling cold. The base is woody and mineral, dry and clean, like stone warmed by the sun. Nothing in it is sweet, and nothing lingers long. Projection is soft and longevity short, though intensity is a notch up, so the opening has some energy before it settles. It is an easy choice for spring and summer, casual days, the office and relaxed dates. It will not hold up at a formal evening, and cold weather leaves it a little bare. If you like your scents dry, peppery and clean, it is an agreeable everyday option.
