Creative opens vibrant and sophisticated: a spicy ginger, cool juniper berries and bright bergamot give an energising, slightly mysterious lift - the signature of YSL's Y Eau de Parfum Intense (2023). The heart turns composed and herbaceous with earthy sage, rosy geranium and clean lavender, that classic aromatic-fougere masculinity. The base settles into earthy vetiver, patchouli and dry cedar. Perfume Parlour's interpretation captures Y EDP Intense's fresh-yet-deep, crowd-pleasing character convincingly, but it reads a fraction flatter, the bright ginger-bergamot opening more fleeting and the woody-aromatic base thinner than the designer original. Where Y EDP Intense lives up to its name with a strong 9-11 hours and confident projection, here longevity is more moderate and the trail closer. The effect stays clean and assured - a fresh-aromatic fougere for spring through autumn, at home at the office, casually, day to day or on dates.
