The drydown is where it deepens - sweet vanilla over earthy patchouli, musk and amber - though the dupe pushes the vanilla-coconut sweetness up and the powder along with it. As a budget clone of the 2010 original it captures that warm tropical-fruity-floral mood well, an easy crowd-pleaser. The divergence is balance: where the original lets patchouli and musk add a sophisticated edge, this version reads sweeter and more of a powdery coconut gourmand, dialling back the chypre grit. Performance is respectable with decent longevity. A sensual, playful sweet-fruity scent for cooler-weather dates.
