Diametric For Men opens fresh and green with basil, rosemary, tarragon and a juicy mandarin, the aromatic overture that gives Pi its early lift. A soft floral-anise heart of neroli, geranium and lily-of-the-valley bridges into the real attraction: a warm, balmy base of vanilla, tonka bean, almond, benzoin and cedar - creamy, slightly powdery and very comforting. Against Givenchy Pi, this dupe captures the unmistakable sweet-vanilla-almond DNA and the old-school cosy warmth, but the original's richer projection and powdery refinement are dialled back, leaving a smoother, skin-close wear with somewhat shorter longevity. It is an easy, comforting masculine - cosy enough for cold-weather casual days and warm enough to flatter date nights - delivering the heart of Pi at a budget price.
