Gift opens bright and spicy - grapefruit, pink pepper and cardamom - the same sparkling lift that introduces Moresque Oroluna. At its heart, Turkish rose plays protagonist, dusted with geranium, patchouli and cedar, before the base sinks into a smoky veil of incense, oud, labdanum and sandalwood. The original is prized for its natural, balsamic rose and a steamy, smoky drydown that lasts all day; this Perfume Parlour version reads recognisably similar but flatter, with the rose and spice forward and the resinous oud-incense depth thinned out. Projection is moderate and longevity sits in the middle band rather than the original's beast-mode grip. A mysterious, refined rose-oud best worn in cooler months for evenings and dressy occasions.
