Golden Herb

Perfume Parlour Golden Herb is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2016. Golden Herb opens with Orange, Bergamot, Lemon, and Ginger, settles into a heart of Melon, Pear, Apple, and Cinnamon, and dries down to a base of Musk, Vanilla, Amber, and Woody. Perfume Parlour's Golden Herb carries a Favourite verdict, a fruity-led wear.

Golden Herb chases Xerjoff Erba Gold, the sparkling fruity-citrus vanilla bomb. The juicy citrus-and-fruit opening with its spicy heart over creamy vanilla comes through, but Perfume Parlour's version reads a touch more synthetic and lacks the textured richness and projection of the Xerjoff.

About

Xerjoff Erba Gold is a luxurious fruity-citrus - a bright Amalfi lemon, Brazilian orange and ginger opening, spiced with cardamom and cinnamon, over a fruit-basket heart and a warm, creamy vanilla, amber and musk base. It is a compliment-getting crowd-pleaser. Golden Herb recreates that radiant signature. It opens juicy and sparkling with orange, Calabrian bergamot, Sicilian lemon and a spicy ginger lift, then turns into a fruity heart of melon, pear and green apple seasoned with cinnamon, cardamom and clove. The base settles into creamy Madagascar vanilla, white musk and amber. Perfume Parlour holds the fresh-fruity-vanilla arc together, but the fruit reads a little more synthetic up top and the base lacks the Xerjoff's textured, three-dimensional richness, so it projects with less authority. Longevity is decent for a budget scent. A cheerful, uplifting fruity-citrus for warm-weather casual, daily and office wear.
