The heart turns leafy and cool, a green fig-leaf and violet-leaf accord that keeps it firmly in outdoorsy territory rather than floral. The drydown is all brisk vetiver with a quiet iris and clean musk, smooth and lightly woody. Compared to the Paul Smith Men it imitates, this Perfume Parlour version is recognisably the same clean green idea but in a thinner, more linear form - the vetiver feels less mineral and refined, the iris barely registers, and the modest 4-to-6-hour wear of the original becomes a shorter skin-close presence here. As an inexpensive everyday fresh-green scent it does its job nicely: clean, masculine and inoffensive, well suited to the office, daytime and warm weather.
