Hydrosphere

A budget interpretation of Memo Paris Ocean Leather, Hydrosphere opens fresh and zesty with mandarin lifted by aromatic basil and a faint powdery violet. The heart stays green and herbal - cedar, sage and a resinous elemi - before the base reveals what makes the original distinctive: a soft, refined leather woven through earthy vetiver, with a touch of nutmeg warmth. Set against the real Ocean Leather it reads flatter and more conventionally citrus-fresh, the leather lighter and less creamy-distinctive, so it loses some of the niche character that lets the original carry its citrus far past where most fade. Projection is moderate, strongest in the first hour before settling skin-close, with decent rather than remarkable longevity. Still, for the money it captures that clever fresh-meets-leather mood convincingly - a crisp, grown-up daytime scent that suits the office, daily wear and warm-weather casual outings from spring through early autumn, reading as clean, refined and quietly confident.
