Milan Encrypted opens on a bright, slightly bitter orange with a sparkling Italian orange lift and an early thread of jasmine - the same sophisticated citrus-floral entry that defines Armani Code for Women. The heart is where it counts: a lush orange-blossom absolute and sambac jasmine warmed by a touch of ginger, giving that intoxicating, sultry floral the original is built around. The dry-down settles into creamy vanilla and golden honey over smooth sandalwood, sweet and feminine without tipping into cloying. Against the genuine Code it is less rich and less radiant: the jasmine is a touch more synthetic, the honey thinner, and projection stays modest, hugging the skin within a couple of hours. Still, the shape - elegant, honeyed, confidently feminine - is faithful, and it captures the polished evening-wear mood that made the original a date-night staple. It trades the original's depth and tenacity for budget value, best in cooler months for evenings, dates and dressier daytime wear.
