Shiny Spice

Perfume Parlour Shiny Spice is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2018. Shiny Spice opens with Marigold, Cinnamon, Bergamot, and Angelica, settles into a heart of Labdanum and Cedar, and dries down to a base of Sandalwood, Vanilla, and Incense. Perfume Parlour's Shiny Spice carries a Statement verdict, a amber-led wear.

Shiny Spice leans on Mancera's Gold Incense - that fresh-spicy incense wrapped in vanilla and amber. The dupe pushes the cinnamon-and-vanilla warmth forward and softens the smoky incense bite, so it lands cosier and rounder than the original's brighter, more resinous lift, with gentler projection.

About

Shiny Spice opens on a glowing spice-and-marigold accord: warm cinnamon dusted with bergamot brightness and a faint herbal angelica edge, sweeter and rounder than the crisp incense-and-coffee snap of the Mancera it follows. The heart turns resinous and woody as labdanum and atlas cedar build a soft amber spine. In the drydown a creamy Madagascar vanilla and sandalwood cushion the incense, which here reads as a gentle smoky warmth rather than the original's churchy, more cutting incense. The overall effect is comforting and easy - a cosy spiced amber for cold weather - but it trades some of Gold Incense's freshness and projection for that approachability, sitting closer to the skin and fading sooner. A pleasant, snuggly winter scent that captures the spirit of the original without its sharper, more luminous facets.
