Spice Smoke

Perfume Parlour Spice Smoke is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2023. Spice Smoke opens with Apple, Smoke, and Cinnamon, settles into a heart of Tobacco and Oakmoss, and dries down to a base of Vanilla and Orcanox. Perfume Parlour's Spice Smoke carries a Statement verdict, a smoky-led wear.

Spice Smoke chases By Kilian Smoking Hot, the cult apple-hookah tobacco. The smoky baked-apple-and-cinnamon opening over warm tobacco vanilla is captured well, but Perfume Parlour's smoke reads more synthetic and the gourmand sweetness simpler than the layered, balsamic Kilian.

About

By Kilian Smoking Hot is a quirky modern classic - an apple-hookah accord where tart, cidery apple meets cinnamon bark and fire-cured tobacco absolute, all settling into a balsamic bourbon vanilla. Spice Smoke recreates that distinctive smoking-apple signature. It opens with sweet, slightly tart apple wrapped in dry smoke and warm cinnamon, then deepens through a rich tobacco heart touched with oakmoss. The base lands on creamy bourbon vanilla and an ambroxan-like woody-amber. Perfume Parlour holds the concept together but renders the smoke a touch harsher and more synthetic up top, and the drydown loses some of the original's balsamic, almost edible roundness - it reads a little flatter and sweeter. Longevity is solid for a budget scent though it falls short of the Kilian's 10-hour staying power. A cosy, mysterious smoky-sweet fragrance built for autumn and winter evenings.
