Sweet II For Women

Sweet II chases the addictive amber-vanilla signature of Kayali's Vanilla 28 - the brown-sugar gourmand that became a social-media sensation. It opens sweet and creamy with vanilla orchid lifted by a soft thread of jasmine, then sinks into the heart that defines the scent: a rich, syrupy brown sugar married to warm tonka bean. The base brings the depth - amber and amberwood with a resinous, musky patchouli that keeps the sweetness from turning cloying. Against the original it does a faithful job of the recognisable shape and the cosy, sugary character - wearers consistently rate Perfume Parlour's likeness high - but, like most budget renditions, it reads a shade sweeter and flatter, the resinous amber depth that rounds out the Kayali a little thinner here. Performance is decent, broadly in line with the original's moderate longevity. What you get is a warm, comforting brown-sugar vanilla for cold weather at a fraction of the cost. Best in autumn and winter, made for cosy evenings, dates and snug days in.
